Welcome to 2012...

However, I've moved....  Sorry...

But you can still find me at

And you can find Photo of the Week 2012 here

Hope to see you there!

Week 'Twenty'

Only the one photo...  The photo a week project is momentarily on the sidelines after a dozy car driver ran me over whilst I was out cycling.  I'm up and about, walking and breathing, but not able to use my right arm for anything for at least another 6 weeks.  At the moment, I feel like I've been hit by a train - just like this one!

Week Nineteen

Photo One - Tate and Lyle

Photo Two - Three for One!  A HDR medley

Photo Three - Back to the 70's
Photo Four - Signwriting

Week Eighteen

Photo One - Busy Peaks - It's holiday season on the peak of Loughrigg Fell

Photo Two - Breakthrough!  After a couple of hours, finally some sunshine breaks through the cloud
Photo Three - Loughrigg Fell from the other side of Rydal Water.  Windermere is to the left.  Grasmere is just visable to the right.

Photo Four - Looking down Kirkstone Pass towards Patterdale on a wet, grey day!

Week Seventeen

Photo One - Chasing Sunlight

Photo Two - Plane on a Wire

Photo Three - Welcome to North Yorkshire - The White Horse at Sutton Bank (as white horses go, this one is pretty young, so maybe it's a foal!)

Photo Four - Summer Harvest

Week Sixteen

Photo One - Moonrise over Whitley
Not a lot of photos to choose from this week.  In fact, I spent 3 full days cycling, at least one day driving, and three days stuck in front of my computer trying to finally get my Guyana photos in some sort of order.

So, PotW for this week is the only photo I took - and it is taken from home!  I looked up from my computer and saw the moon had just popped up over the hills.  It's just a shame the houses aren't a little more attractive.

Week Fifteen

Photo One - Panorama from Hartside
Photo Three - Summer Gardens

Photo Two - English Country Home

Photo Four - Towards the Lakes

Week Fourteen

Photo One - Riddlestone Moor Trig Point
Photo Two - Late Evening at Derwent Water
Photo Three - Sunset Wheat Fields
Photo Four - Penshaw Monument near Sunderland

Week Thirteen

Photo One - Upper Hopton Village
Photo Two - Sunshine and (hosepipe) showers

Photo Three - Overlooking the Parish

Photo Four - Going potty for old stone steps
I spent most of this week in front of my computer, rather than behind the camera, but I've been asked to get some photos for a 'Hopton in Bloom' calendar.  I managed to get a lap of the village early one morning and late one evening for a few nice shots.

Week Twelve

Photo One - Midsummer sunrise

Photo Two - Couldn't resist a little more mist!

Photo Three - Rainbow from Murton Pike, near Appleby in Westmorland

Photo Four - Keswick and Derwent Water from the approach to Skiddaw (click to see full size)
